ASTALIFT, created by FUJIFILM, welcomes its third and largest boutique in NEX Serangoon, and I was invited down to experience the brand's latest In-Focus Cellactive Serum at their roadshow 2 weeks ago.
The highlight of the roadshow goes without saying. Apart from showcasing ASTALIFT's beauty drink and various skincare products, the roadshow was mainly to promote their latest star serum - an essence that helps to activate stem cells as well as protect them from ageing with its unique blend of ingredients.
ASTALIFT In-Focus Cellactive Serum (S$222 for 30ml)
Product Description:
"Restore your skin's natural ability to heal itself with ASTALIFT In-Focus Cellactive Serum - this essence helps to rejuvenate your stem cells with Nano Astaxanthin CP+ and Nano Boswellin Acid so your skin is regenerated and feels firm and youthful again. Highlights:
+ Nano Astaxanthin CP+ delivers fast-absorbing nano-dosages of Astaxanthin (a carotenoid pigment) and Tocopherol Nicotinate (a form of Vitamin E). Touted as a super antioxidant, Astaxanthin repairs damage caused by UV rays and oxidation, while Tocopherol Nicotinate prevents cellular DNA damage.
+ Boswellia Serrata, a shrub with anti-inflammatory and anti-wrinkle benefits, 'switches on' the epidermal stem cell rejuvenation signal in the skin, prompting cellular decisions in healing and self-regeneration. Enhanced with FUJIFILM's nanotechnology, this ingredient is nano-sized and is absorbed into the skin 1.3 times better.
+ A sheer and lightweight gel texture when first applied, the formula melts into a liquid state to optimise absorption, and after it has dried, the light oil from the serum continues to moisturise the skin's top layer throughout the day.
+ Consisting of bergamot, jasmine, rose, magnolia, sandalwood and amber notes, this serum is appealing to the senses with its trailing mood-lifting fragrance.
How To Use:
During your daily morning and evening skincare routine, take 2-3 pumps of the serum onto your palm, and spread it gently all over your face after it is conditioned with lotion.
My Thoughts:
I was given 2 x 5ml sample of the ASTALIFT In-Focus Cellactive Serum to try, and it's been about 2 weeks of usage but I'm still not done with my first tube of sample. To be honest, it's because my schedule has been extremely hectic recently and I didn't manage to use this every single morning and night. With that said, I can see why many of my friends in the beauty community have been raving about this serum. Everytime I use this, it's like a treat for both my skin and mood. I'm not too used to using a serum that is part water part oil, and to my surprise, this hasn't caused my oily, blemish-prone skin any trouble or breakout at all. It also stays true to its claim of being able to absorb quickly into the skin, as you can see from my photos above. Even when I use this in the day, I found that it doesn't make my skin feel (or look) any greasier. The scent is a pure bonus, and it gets me strangely excited whenever I'm about to squeeze this serum out, getting myself ready to take a deep breath and inhale the calming scent. 6 fragrance notes seem like a lot for just one skincare product, but the scent is very faint and does not linger on your skin for long (sadly!). As for the serum's anti-ageing claims, I can't put a verdict on that as I haven't used this long enough. With that said, I'm crazy on skincare products that make use of science and technology to formulate, so I do have high hopes for this serum in terms of combating wrinkles and loss of elasticity. The only downside to me is the price - S$222 for only 30ml... 😅 But if you're ready to splurge, or if wrinkles are one of your biggest skin concerns, I'd say go for it!

I was also brought to their boutique to take a look at its 688 square foot space, featuring ASTALIFT's signature red hue to
signify the vibrancy and richness of the brand.
A highlight of this retail outlet includes a skin analyser machine, where customers'
skin condition is analysed, so that relevant products can be recommended
accordingly. I tried the machine out and learnt a fair bit about my skin's current condition:
See those white dots on the right photo? Those are the remnants of my sunscreen, which is almost gone at 8pm! This is why we need to re-apply our sunscreen as our perspiration and sweat glands will "remove" it from our face 😦 It was a good reminder for me!
