New themed zones and interactive 4D concept: The revamp of Trick EyeMuseum Singapore | EVENT

{ Event | Lifestyle News }

Hello from the other side ...of the blog category! I'm no lifestyle blogger, but this is one topic that I'm most excited to blog about.

With the title of this post, I'm sure you already know what I'm gonna talk about - that's right, Trick Eye Museum!

Trick Eye Museum is no foreign place to us Singaporeans, and especially so to Koreans. When the Korean-based museum reached the shores of Singapore last year, it quickly became one of the main highlights in Resorts World Sentosa that most tourists (and Singaporeans) will not miss out on. It probably remains as the only museum where you can touch anything and everything, and take as many photos (even with flash) as your heart desires!

However, for those of you who have visited Trick Eye Museum, it is not likely for you to head back again, unless you go with different friends and family members, as there would be nothing new for you to see and be fascinated by.

Well, not anymore!

Trick Eye Museum has recently revamped some of the zones, which means you can now expect to witness new themed zones and exhibits! The best part? There are even interactive 4D exhibits now!

Here's a preview of one of the 3 new 4D exhibits:

Don't you love how they include this just in time for the festive season?

Fret not if you can't make it in time to head down before Christmas; there is also a Chinese New Year version that is just as funny and adorable!

I have never been to Trick Eye Museum before, so everything was new and interesting to me! Yes, I was one of the few who had never been there - I almost went with my mum once, but it was so crowded that we decided not to join the queue. Hence, I was beyond thrilled to be able to bring her along as my 'plus one' when I received a pair of invites from The Influencial Network - thanks guys!

Instead of simply letting the following pictures do the talking, I shall proceed to tell a story...

Are you ready? :D

The Girl Who Lived Beside the Moon

Once upon a time, up above the clouds, there lived a girl named Jojo. She lived with her mother in a mystical cottage just beside the moon. The moon was Jojo's and her mother's favourite hangout place.

This is Jojo

This is Jojo's mother

Jojo was a happy and energetic girl who lived with no fear, except for one: She was terribly afraid of snakes. Once, Jojo's mother, who was the biggest fan of snakes, brought home a baby snake. Jojo was so terrified that she ran away from home and did not return for a night.

When Jojo returned the next day, her mother promised her that she had given the snake away.

Little did Jojo know, her mother lied.

A couple years forward, Jojo was playing by herself in the woods when she noticed a woodshed from a distance away. "When was this ever here?", Jojo thought. Out of curiosity, she entered the woodshed and saw.......

"AHHHHH!", Jojo exclaimed as soon as she witnessed the horrifying sight. Without a second thought, she decided that she could no longer live with her mother and her snake obsession.

Plucking up her courage, Jojo skydived to a place she had never been to before - Earth.

Earth was so much more fun than Jojo had expected! The adventurous girl travelled places and did many things, like...

...finally experiencing the warmth of the sun by suntanning at a beach,

... visiting the waterfall,

...sparring with a monk,

...and she even met The White Rabbit from her favourite movie 'Alice in Wonderland'!

Jojo was so excited that she ran up to the rabbit, gave an enthusiastic wave, and poured him some tea. But as expected, the always-running-late rabbit said, "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late I'm late I'm late!"

With a mind as curious as Alice, Jojo immediately followed the rabbit to see where he was rushing to.

Guess who Jojo saw?

It was like Jojo's dream come true: She saw the real Alice! Apparently, Alice called the rabbit for help as she had drunk a potion that made her grow very big. Jojo helped the rabbit out for a while, but she got bored soon after and decided it was time to make a move.

So, off she went exploring Earth again!

Energetic Jojo and her antics

Jojo was having the time of her life, but her happiness was short-lived. A giant dinosaur spotted her from afar, grabbed her with its giant claw and held her captive!

What the dinosaur did not know was that Jojo and her mother shared a strange mother-daughter telepathy: They could sense when the other person was in danger!

As soon as Jojo's mother sensed that something bad had happened to Jojo, she skydived down to Earth, determined to save her only daughter.

While Jojo had the gift of elevating from the ground, Jojo's mother had the gift of smell - she could locate anything she wanted to find with her nose. After a few sniffs, she knew that Jojo was trapped in a secluded area, and it required her to cross a life-threatening path...

She even had to ride a horse to get to where Jojo was!

Jojo's mother finally spotted the dinosaur with her daughter in its cage, and after an intense battle with the dangerous creature, it finally surrendered and allowed Jojo to get out of the cage.

Jojo was as free as a bird once again! She was so happy to be free that she joined a group of ballerinas for a ballet dance as soon as she spotted them while exploring Earth with her mother.

Little did she know, a handsome young man took notice of her elegant moves and instantly fell in love with her. He went up to her and asked, "May I?". Jojo shyly nodded, and they walked up to another stage for a waltz dance.

Unfortunately, Jojo's happiness was once again short-lived. Her mother was furious that Jojo was so ungrateful; Jojo did not even thank her mother for risking her life to save her!  Her mother's anger got the best of her - she beheaded Jojo and served Jojo's head as her dinner.

Needless to say, Jojo's mother did not get away with such an inhumane act. She got arrested and caged up by a giant baby, who turned out to be the Chief Police Officer.

No idea why Jojo's mother still looked so happy

Moral of the story: Be grateful to your mother.

You have come to the end of my magical-turned-strange-turned-sadistic story. Sorry if you feel like I have wasted your time, hahahaha! I had so much fun coming up with the storyline though!

Seeing these photos of me and my mum with the different 3D exhibits and backgrounds really made my creative juice flow (or is it nonsensical juice? :p), and I think the photos make us look as if we really did so many fascinating / dangerous things!

Thank you so much, The Influencer Network (TIN) and Trick Eye Museum Singapore, for having us! We honestly had a whale of a time, if you can't already tell from all the photos in this post :D

Oh! I also managed to win the "Best Trick Eye photo" contest alongside another blogger by the name of Hong Peng... It was really unexpected as I was still busy catching up with a dear friend (who also attended the gathering) when the winners were being announced.
Thank you TIN and Trick Eye Museum Singapore for this sweet surprise! Original Facebook post by TIN here.

Be sure to check out the new 3D exhibits and interactive 4D concept at Trick Eye Museum Singapore if you have yet to! :)
